Custom Log Cutting

Don’t Waste Good Wood

What We Do

We turn your logs into something valuable — live edge slabs, boards, and beams.

Taking Down Trees on Your Land?

Tree work is expensive. Don’t just watch good wood get hauled off or sold for firewood.

We turn your logs into something valuable — live edge slabs, boards, beams — for a fraction of what it costs to buy. And we do it right here in Maine, so the value stays local.

We specialize in milling large, unique logs — up to 5 feet wide, curved, forked, gnarly. Perfect for custom furniture, building projects, or resale.

You get your wood back stickered, banded, and ready to air dry. We’ll load it onto your truck or trailer when it’s done.

Don’t want the wood?

If you’re taking down trees and don’t need the wood, we can often pick it up for free — as long as the logs have value to us. Mixed species? Odd shapes? No problem. We’ll sort it.

Got a load of big logs we can use for slabs? We’ll offer you something you can use — rough slabs, kiln-dried slabs, or work out a deal that fits your situation. If it’s not something we can use, we may still be able to help move it or connect you with a buyer.

We’re flexible and fair. Every load is different, and we’ll do our best to find a win-win — whether that’s helping you avoid haul-off fees, giving you something in return, or simply keeping good wood from going to waste.

Flexible Cutting Options and Pricing

Typical large logs yield slabs around $45–$50 each, priced using our formula by size and thickness.
Each log is cut, stickered, banded, and loaded safely onto your vehicle or ours.
Stickering big logs correctly is valuable — it keeps the slabs flat, straight, and ready for use.

We also offer optional steps:

  • Kiln drying

  • Surfacing and sanding to “ready-to-finish”

  • Full furniture builds (tables, bars, counters)

Use the calculator to get pricing.

The formula is 40 per log for washing, metal detecting, and getting it setup on the mill. T

Then we price by width under 30, 30-45inches, and 45-60 inches.

Over 10 ft long we add 6.00 per foot.

#of Slabs - If you want one slab from the log put in 1, if you want all the slabs, then estimate about 7-9 slabs for most logs.
